Went on another hiking trip. This time, it was a bunch of the Geneva fellas, and we went to Manistee National Forest in the good ol’ Michigan for a weekend. I always wonder why Michigan residents hate on the state of Michigan so much. It’s absolutely beautiful here, let alone the crazy places in the upper Peninsula. Sure, the winter can be a bit long, but it’s one of the few states where you experience all 4 seasons in a year.
Off the Michigan rant, for a short weekend trip, I was exhausted and sore like crazy. We hiked 21 miles in two days, and to put into my perspective, I don’t know if we hiked 30 miles in the 6 days we were in Tennessee. It was a rude awakening for sure as to how out of shape I am.
But regardless, a great time. I love those guys a lot.
